Privacy Policy

This site does not trade in your data. Here is what it actually collects, who sees it, and what you can do about it.

Last updated: June 2026

Who is behind this

Scars That Teach is run by one person: Solomon Turner. There is no company, no team, no marketing department. If you have a question about this policy, send it directly to [email protected] and Solomon will read it.

What gets collected

This site does not ask for your name, your email, or any personal information. There is no signup, no comment section, no stored data on our end. If you write to the contact address, that email goes to Solomon and nowhere else.

Two third-party services collect data automatically when you visit:

  • Google Analytics collects pages visited, time spent, approximate location by region, and device and browser type
  • Google AdSense collects advertising interactions and interest signals to serve relevant ads
Ads and cookies

This site runs Google AdSense ads. Google uses cookies, including the DoubleClick DART cookie, to show ads based on your browsing history across sites. You can turn off personalised ads through Google’s Ad Settings or at aboutads.info.

Google Analytics uses cookies to track how people use this site. No personally identifiable information passes through it. If you want to block Analytics tracking entirely, the Google Analytics opt-out add-on will do it. Full details of how Google handles data are in Google’s Privacy Policy.

If you are in Europe (GDPR)

This site does not collect your personal data directly, so there is not much to hand over or delete on our end. The third-party services used here, Google Analytics and Google AdSense, operate under their own GDPR-compliant data processing terms. If you want to know more, Google’s data processing terms cover it in full.

If you have a GDPR request you want to direct to this site specifically, email [email protected].

If you are in California (CCPA)

California residents have the right to know what personal information is held about them, to request it be deleted, and to opt out of it being sold. This site does not sell personal information. For any CCPA request, email [email protected].

Children (COPPA)

This site is written for adults. It is not directed at anyone under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children. If something has gone wrong on that front, email [email protected] and it will be dealt with immediately.

Updates

If this policy changes in any meaningful way, the date at the top will reflect it. Using the site after an update means you are fine with the new version.

Something unclear

If any part of this does not make sense or you have a specific concern, write to Solomon directly.
